This article says about a 19 year old high school student from Malawi built a windmill made of wood and discarded bicycle parts. His windmill is able to generate power for his family home and charge car batteries and mobile phones for the people from his village.
this would be great, as the email sent today suggested that power generation is an issue in lebialem!
